This year has been a big year for us in New Dundee, with the advent of the composting program. Our most active advocate of this system is Alice Scott, who, at the Pancake Breakfast initiated a new method of clearing tables and sorting waste. Thanks to her efforts at organizing her team, we served more than 300 people, and generated only one bag of garbage. Motivated by this success, we are pleased to report that at the Fish Fry, which served over 400 people, we were able to keep the garbage down to 1/2 a bag! Congratulations to all who helped with the clearing and sorting, and a very special thanks to Alice, who inspires us all!
